About

FROM FATHERLESS TO FATHERHOOD
A Documentary Film by Kobie Brown

Kobie Brown is an entertainment industry veteran who began his career working for award winning recording artist and actress, Queen Latifah.  A conversation with a Morehouse College classmate led Kobie to explore the importance of fatherhood via the most powerful medium that Brown could imagine – film.
Kirk Franklin (Recording Artist), Dr. Steve Perry (CNN & Save My Son) & Reverend Deforest B. Soaries (First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens) are just a few of the men who contribute to From Fatherless to Fatherhood; allowing The Kobie Chronicles to reveal some of the causes and effects of father absence, while providing examples of black men who are having healthy relationships with their children and therefore, their community. The film explores what quality fatherhood looks like; what it means; and why it matters.
